摘要
A novel double-tube heat exchanger with staggered helical fins (DTHE-SHF) is proposed. The mechanism of drag reduction and heat transfer enhancement was analyzed based on the theory of field synergy. Numerical simulations were conducted to study the thermal performance of the DTHE-SHF. The effects of torsion angle and number of the SHF were investigated. The results indicated that, compared with the double tube heat exchanger with traditional straight helical fins (DTHE-TSHF), the pressure drop of the DTHE-SHF is reduced significantly, and the comprehensive performance of the DTHE-SHF is improved by 10 %-30 %. The average synergy angle between the velocity field and the pressure field is optimized.
