摘要：

The Co-II centre in the title complex, [Co(C8H7O2)(2)(C3H4N2)(2)-(H2O)], has a distorted octahedral coordination geometry, involving three O atoms derived from two 4-methylbenzoate ligands, two N atoms from the imidazole ligands and a water molecule. Intermolecular O-H center dot center dot center dot O and N-H center dot center dot center dot O hydrogen bonds along with pi-pi stacking interactions give rise to a layer structure.
