摘要
Drinking water is a global concern. Solar desalination minimizes the energy consumption. The present study combinessolar stills with flat plate collector (FPC) with paraffin wax. The experiment is carried out for the different water depths at 10, 20 and 30 mm in the double slope basin. FPC imitates as preheater and phase change material (PCM) based heat storage provides heat energy during lean solar rays. Productivity of water at a smaller depth is observed higher. Still productivity increases to 22%, and the peak yield increases by 15%, with FPC and heat storage.Copyright (c) 2021 Elsevier Ltd.
