摘要
Metal ion-doped titanium dioxide (TiO2) was synthesized by using the novel sol-gel method, where copper and manganese were used for dopant ions. The obtained Cu-TiO2 and Mn-TiO2 powders were investigated by electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) spectroscopy before and after calcination treatment. EPR results indicate that the novel method can homogeneously spread out the metal ions into basic TiO2 structure. After calcination, the Cu2+ ion was in an axially distorted octahedral site, while Mn2+ and Mn4+ ions were created.
