Is the naturalization of the paddlefish in the Danube River basin possible?

摘要：
There are increasing numbers of paddlefish being reported from the Danube River. These fishes are believed to be escapees from fish farms in Austria, Germany and Rumania. Evaluation of the life history traits of this species and the current environmental state of the Danube River makes the establishment or naturalization of the paddlefish in this river basin highly unlikely.
