Excitation functions of the Er-nat(d,x)Tm-163,Tm-165,Tm-166,Tm-167,Tm-168,Tm-170 and Er-nat(d, x)Er-171 reactions have been measured experimentally from their respective thresholds up to 40 MeV for the first time. Cross-sections were determined using the activation method and the stacked foil irradiation technique. The theoretical interpretation was done with the ALICE-IPPE code. From the fitted experimental cross-section data integral production yields were calculated and compared to measured integral yield data reported in the literature. (c) 2007 Elsevier B.V.
