摘要：

A case of fatal poisoning due to ingestion of trichlorfon (DEP) and phenobarbital is presented. Quantitative toxicological analysis showed the high blood concentrations of DEP, dichlorvos (DDVP; the metabolite of DEP), phenobarbital, methanol (contained as an organic solvent in the commercial products of DEP) and formic acid (the metabolite of methanol). We concluded that the cause of death was due to the combined effects of DEP, phenobarbital and methanol. We should consider the toxicity not only of the main component, but also of the solvents contained in the products.
