摘要
This case report presents a twelve-year-old Dachshund whose principal symptom was acute abdominal pain. Abdominal ultrasonography confirmed the presence of irregular masses in both adrenal glands. After surgery and histological examination, the tumours were identified as adrenal gland carcinoma and pheochromocytoma. The typical clinical symptoms of these uncommon bilateral hormone-producing neoplasms such as polyuria, polydipsia, panting, potbelly, alopecia, muscle weakness and lethargy had not been observed. So in patients with acute abdominal pain, ultrasonographic examination should always be performed by an experienced examiner to eliminate adrenal neoplasia as a differential diagnosis.
