Effect of copper on the structure and properties of manganese zinc ferrites

摘要
The effect of copper ions on the crystal structure, porosity, and properties of the Mn0.6-xCuxZn0.3Fe2.1O4-gamma (0 less than or equal to x less than or equal to 0.6) ferrites synthesized at 950 degrees C, sintered at 1300 degrees C, and cooled in a protective gaseous environment was studied by x-ray diffraction, magnetic measurements, microstructural analysis, gravimetry, and nuclear magnetic resonance. The charge states of all cations and their distribution over the octahedral and tetrahedral sites of the spinel structure were identified. The optimum copper content was found at which high-quality materials characterized by high magnetic induction and low electromagnetic losses can be produced.
