摘要
Today, because the existing forests are gradually decreasing, there are various obstacles in producing industrial wood products. Particularly regarding this subject, alternative and environmental methods are sought, as in all fields of industry. In this regard, studies about particleboard, which arose after agricultural production, have great importance. The use of stalk with particleboard production from stalk will provide economic profit, a new employment area and ecological production. In our study, we produced particleboards by mixing cotton stalk and corn stalk with urea-formaldehyde in certain proportions. After that, particleboards are compared in terms of physical and mechanical properties. Particleboards are produced by using 12% urea-formaldehyde glue in 10 minutes press and at 175 degrees C press temperature. As a result, the particleboard D, which is produced with (75% Corn, 25% Cotton) stalk has the highest bending strength with 7.83522 N/mm 2 value. The surface deflagration temperature in the obtained particleboards is seen in sample E (100% Corn) with 156 degrees C value. The lowest value in water retention rate is seen in sample E (100% Corn) with 17%. The lowest value in the coefficient of heat transmission was found in sample B (75% Cotton, 25% Corn) as 0.1458 W/mK.
