摘要
We consider the mixed phase of a quark-gluon plasma which could be formed in ultrarelativistic heavy-ion collisions in equilibrium with a hadronic gas. We discuss variables, such as energy density, which are strictly related to experimental conditions. Within the bag model we calculate thermodynamic quantities for a gas of non-interacting quarks and gluons and address the question of plasma break-up into small droplets (globs). By including finite-size effects for the globs we find that the mixture of the two phases (volume and energy fractions) depends on the glob size and temperature which are determined together at equilibrium. The picture that emerges is quite different from the one at fixed temperature. Also, by calculating the entropy for several systems we conclude that plasma break-up is unlikely.
