摘要
This paper reports on the growth and spectral properties of Nd3+:BaLaLiWO6 crystals. A Nd3+:BaLaLiWO6 crystal with dimensions of circle divide 20 x 19 mm(3) was grown by the Czochralski method. The optical absorption and emission spectra of the crystal were investigated. The Nd3+:BaLaLiWO6 crystal has a broad absorption full-width at half-maximum (FWHM) of 20 nm at 809 nm. The absorption and emission cross-sections are 2.51 X 10(-20) cm(2) at 809 nm and 4.04 x 10(-20) cm(2) at 1074 nm, respectively. The fluorescence lifetime is 120 mu s at room temperature. Since the Nd3+:BaLaLiWO6 crystal is cubic and thus optically isotropic, it is advantageous for specific laser applications. (c) 2007 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
