摘要：
Eocene coleoid phragmacone steinkerns from the Castle Hayne Limestone of southeastern North Carolina are described and discussed. Specimens are considered to belong to Belopteridae and to Belosaepiidae. Possible generic affiliations Beloptera? and Anomalosaepia are proposed. Implications for phylogenetic reconstruction of spirulids and sepiids are discussed.
