摘要：

Geometric tools are widely used in industries such as computer graphics, CAD and virtual reality. Web-based learning environment can explain concepts, theories and methods of geometric tools vividly. In order to develop on-line learning of this subject, a user interface is designed and Web-based Java applets are written in the platform independent object-oriented Java programming language. The World Wide Web (WWW) language is used to create Web pages. The developed Java applets are embedded in the Web pages. Learners can execute these applets via the internet, and obtain interactive documents of this subject according to their needs and preferences.
