摘要
A series of 2-aryl-2,3-dihydroquinazolin-4(1H)-ones have been synthesized in excellent yields and short reaction time by one-pot reaction of 2-aminobenzonitrile, ammonium hydroxide, and substituted benzaldehydes or 3-aryl-1-phenyl-1H-pyrazole-4-carbaldehydes in the presence of magnetic multiwalled carbon nanotube (mMWCNT) nanocomposite as a recoverable catalyst at room temperature. The proposed methodology offers several advantages such as mild reaction conditions, green media, excellent yields, simple procedure, and reduced environmental impact. Moreover, the catalyst can be easily recovered using an external magnet and recycled for 5 runs without significant loss of its catalytic activity. The structure of most of the synthesized 2-aryl-2,3-dihydroquinazolin-4(1H)-ones was confirmed by H-1 and C-13 NMR and FTIR spectra and elemental analyses.
