摘要
An experiment was conducted during the winter season of 1997-98, 1998-99 and 1999-2000 to study the effect of crop geometry and nitrogen levels on the seed yield and yield-attributing characters of Ethiopian mustard [Brassica carinata (A) Braun]. Plant height and siliquae/plant were significantly higher when Ethiopian mustard was planted at a spacing of 60 cm x 10 cm, but seed yield was highest under 30 cm x 10 cm spacing with a population of 222, 222 plants/ha. Significant response to nitrogen on seed yield, plant height and siliquae/plant was observed at successive level up to 90 kg/ha. Oil content (%) decreased significantly with each successive increase in N dose up to 90 kg/ha.
