摘要：

This article explores the pedagogical and political application of the term Heimat in the early part of the twentieth century, looking at both the connection between Heimat, fatherland and nation as well as local history studies in schools. Various aspects of the Heimat construction and the manner in which connections to Heimat were formed will be brought out through the analysis of selected school wallcharts.
