摘要
The capillary-screened pools of HC are not traditional. They may be situated at aquitards with any structural characteristics. Laterally, these pools are screened by porous rather than dense water-bearing rocks because of higher capillary pressures in the barrier facies than in the oil-anf gas-saturated ones. Two kinds of capillary barriers are known. One of them appears where the sizes of pores and interporiferous narrowings vary in a reservoir bed, while the other is due to increased interphase tension at the HC-water contact upon cooling the oil-and gas-saturated reservoir. We discuss possibilities of the discovery of pools screened by second kind capillary barriers. The Jurassic and Neocomian deposits in the Nadym region are characterized by optimal conditions for the development of second kind capillary barriers. The forecast is done for post-anticlinal capillary-screened HC pools, which are now situated on the sites of anticlinal structures broken up in the neotectonic stage. The forecast is based on paleotectonic, geothermal, and neotectonic analyses. Seven promising local objects are recognized within the region, and two traps are recommended as tap-priority searching objects.
