Experimental determination of plasma position based on two analytical methods in the IR-T1 tokamak

摘要
In this contribution we have measured the horizontal displacement of the plasma column center using two analytical solutions of the Grad-Shafranov equation in the IR-T1 tokamak. In the first technique, four magnetic pickup coils were designed, constructed and installed on the outer surface of the IR-T1 tokamak chamber and then plasma displacement was determined from them. To compare the results obtained using this method, the second analytical solution of the Grad-Shafranov equation based on expansion of free functions as quadratic in the flux function is also experimented on in the IR-T1. The results of the two methods were compared and were found to be in good agreement with each other.
