摘要
This paper proposes a multi-beam pattern reconfigurable antenna. We use liquid metal to realize the reconfigurability of the antenna. Liquid metal connects the surrounding arms to a circular patch in the middle to create a beam with a specific direction. The antenna working at 5.85GHz can realize main beam steering reconfigurability in six directions with 60 degrees steps. The maximum gain is about 3.6dBi. When the liquid metal connects all the six directional radiation arms with the circular patch and the ground, the antenna can be changedfrom a directional antenna to an omnidirectional antenna This concept can achieve beam control within a 360 degrees range
