Grain boundary precipitation reactions in a wrought Fe-8Al-5Ni-2C alloy prepared by the conventional ingot process

摘要
Phase transformations in Fe-8Al-5Ni-2C alloy prepared by conventional casting process have been studied using transmission electron microscopy method. It is found that the alloy microstructure in the as-quenched conditions reveals an austenite phase containing fine ordered precipitates formed within the austenite matrix. After the aging of the as-quenched alloy at 823 K the grow of the precipitates in the matrix has been observed. Electron diffraction analysis data has suggested that the coarse precipitates observed were α- and k-carbides.
