摘要
Though the use of unmanned aerial vehicles in the renewable energy sector is in its infancy, this field is projected to witness a tremendous growth in the near future. This paper highlights the current role of UAVs and their application potential in revolutionizing green technology. Conventional approaches for inspection and monitoring of renewable energy generation units are discussed. Current advancements and benefits of employing UAVs along with the challenges associated with the wide spread deployment of UAVs are also discussed in detail.
