摘要
A practical high-performance waveguide slot array antenna with 820 radiating slots in millimeter wave is presented. A novel compact architecture is developed to reduce the mechanical layers of the array, hence decrease by 38% in height as compared to conventional method. The performance requirements are satisfied with the optimum architecture, Taylor distribution and improved Elliott's design technique. Both the simulated and measured results indicate an about 3.5% bandwidth(VSWR<2), with 65.3%-high efficiency and 22 dB low-level sidelobe at center frequency.
