摘要
Integrated Product Development (IPD) is a style of product development where the transfer of knowledge across many disciplines is a key factor. Knowledge Based Engineering (KBE) is a tool that helps with the acquisition and use of knowledge in any engineering project. In all factors that contribute to efficiency in IPD, KBE have previously been shown to facilitate these factors individually. It is therefore reasonable to believe that a KBE platform that is fully integrated with the IPD development process can be very successful, and worth further research.
