Structural and magnetic properties of (Nd1-xYx)3Fe27.31Ti1.69 compounds

摘要
The structure and magnetic properties of (Nd1-xYx)(3)Fe27.31Ti1.69(0less than or equal toxless than or equal to0.6) compounds have been investigated by means of X-ray diffraction and magnetic measurements. It was found that all the compounds investigated crystallize in Nd-3(Fe,Ti)(29)-type structure with space group A2/m. With increasing Y content x, the lattice constants and the unit-cell volume decrease monotonically and the Curie temperature T-c reduces slightly. The saturation magnetization M-s decreases monotonically with increasing x, which is in good agreement with that expected by a simple dilution model. All the compounds show a spin reorientation at low temperatures and the spin reorientation temperature T-sr decreases with increasing x from 232 K(for x=0) to 121 K(for x=0.6). Based on investigation of magnetocrystalline anisotropy, a tentative spin phase diagram has been constructed for the (Nd1-xYx)(3)Fe27.31T1.69(0less than or equal toxless than or equal to0.6) compounds.
