摘要
The optimization of water supply dispatching for a large city is a great challenge to operations research. In view of the fact that the adaptability of CBR (Case Based Reasoning) to complex nonstructural problems, we design a Case-Based Dispatching System for the water supply system of a large city. The system consists of eight functional modular: case evaluation, hydraulic modeling, case-based demand forecasting, problems forming, case retrieving, case reusing, case revising and case retaining. The basic ideal of the CBR dispatching system is to search most similar case in the Case Base. The difference between the similar case and the current situation can be corrected via the hydraulic model. If the result is good, the dispatching scheme will be formed a new case. It is evaluated by using the Evaluation Modular again. Once it is better than the previous case, it is retained into the Case Base to replace the old one. Therefore, the performance of dispatching system will be better and better with its running.
