摘要
In the present study, we developed new relationships to investigate temperature dependence of elastic constants and thermal pressure for ionic solids by using a formulation which is valid up to extreme compression limit. The ionic solids NaCl, KCl, MgO and CaO are considered in the study. Close agreement between theory and experiment reveals the validity of present approach. (C) 2009 Elsevier B.V.
