Fabrication of lotus-type porous brass by zinc diffusion into porous copper

摘要
Lotus-type porous brass has been fabricated by utilizing solid-state diffusion of zinc into porous copper which has been made by unidirectional solidification in pressurized hydrogen gas. The Zn diffusion has been carried out by thermal annealing of the porous copper. Zn was deposited by electroplating or vapor deposition method. It has been shown that the diffusion method is a very efficient okay to synthesize the lotus-type porous alloys with a suitable composition.
