Synthesis and Characterization of Zn3(P1-xAsxO4)2 • 4H2O and α-Zn3(P1-xAsxO4)2 (0 ≤ x ≤ 0.29) substitutional solid solutions

摘要
Zn-3(P1-xAsxO4)(2) (.) 4H(2)O and alpha-Zn-3(P1-xAsxO4)(2) (0 less than or equal to x less than or equal to 0.29) substitutional solid solutions are synthesized and characterized by chemical analysis, X-ray powder diffraction, and IR spectroscopy. The former crystallizes in an orthorhombic system (space group Pnma); the latter, in a monoclinic system (space group A2/a). The unit cell dimensions and volumes of both vary linearly with x. The thermolysis of Zn-3(P1-xAsxO4)(2) (.) 4H(2)O is studied by thermal analysis.
