On high spatial resolution scalar measurement with LIF - Part 1: Photobleaching and thermal blooming

摘要
A spatial resolution of about 4 (mu m)(3) of LIF is done in the present work. For such measurements, the photobleaching and possible thermal blooming become important because of the very high laser intensity at measuring volume. The corresponding problems for the scalar measurement, calibration, the influence of laser power and laser dye concentration on photobleaching, and the measurement of photobleaching are investigated. A simple photobleaching model is proposed.
