Further evidence of the relationship between legal and public opinion on the law of homicide

This article describes the results and implications of a small qualitative survey of public opinion on specific aspects of homocide and criminal justice. Following a recent, largely quantitative national survey, this study sets out to elicit further information about how a variety of homocide scenarios are regarded by the public and the reasons for so doing, It also sought to develop our understanding of the extent to which the public construct their assessment of homicides as the law does, especially how for they seem to apply the same underlying principles.
