Numerical simulation of droplet vaporization and ignition with detailed chemistry

摘要
A 2D code has been developed to study the heating, vaporization and subsequent combustion for cold droplets injected in a preheated uniform flow. The numerical simulation of the process is performed in an axisymmetric configuration for spherical droplets with boundary-fitted grid-point systems. Calculations are performed for the vaporization, ignition and combustion of LOX (Liquid Oxygen) droplets in a hydrogen environment, using a H-2-O-2 reaction mechanism comprising 8 species and 38 reactions. Simulations of the combustion of two droplets show their strong interaction and provide useful information for the combustion of dense sprays.
