摘要
Model-based predictive control systems offer real-time optimization for the control of modern wind turbines. This makes it possible to achieve an optimum for conflicting control objectives, such as power maximization and load mitigation, within specified operating limits. This article discusses the fundamental challenges of wind turbine control as well as the concepts of conventional and model-based predictive controllers for wind turbines. We also consider the potential for the systematic implementation of model-based control algorithms and their advantages for the control of wind turbines.
