摘要
Surgical management of CAD has been refined over almost 6 decades and is the standard of care for coronary revascularization among patients with multivessel or unprotected left main CAD. The goal of surgical therapy is complete revascularization, and using arterial conduits, specifically the LITA to LAD, is advocated. Minimally invasive, OPCAB, and hybrid procedures may benefit subsets of patients for whom traditional CABG is not advised or who have conditions that are more suited to these techniques. Optimizing long-term outcomes depends on diligent medical follow-up and adherence to optimal postoperative medical therapy.
