摘要
This paper presents a conceptual design for a global CAE system that can be used for design of robots and other devices in an automated manufacturing environment. Software and hardware needed for the system are identified and the method of integration is proposed. The design was tested by comparing simulated results from a model for existing robot to experimental results from the robot itself. The results showed that a global CAE system would be beneficial for robot designers as well as to manufacturing system developers.
