摘要
The electrochemical performance of a novel organic corrosion inhibitor 6-(4-hydroxyphenyl)-3-mercapto-7,8dihydro-[ 1,2,4] triazolo[4,3-b][1,2,4,5] tetrazine [HT3], for mild steel in 1M hydrochloric acid is evaluated by potentiodynamic curves. The experimental results show that the investigated inhibitor [HT3], which can effectively retard the corrosion process that occurs to mild steel with a hydrochloric acid solution by providing a protective coating for the mild steel that, can be weakened by increasing the temperature. Furthermore, the inhibition efficiency of [HT3] increased with increasing the concentrations of the inhibitors and decreased with increasing temperature.
