摘要
The increasing automation of production processes has given rise to a vast number of complex interlinked Production systems. According to a survey, the greatest hindrance to the use of complex assembly systems is a lack of efficiency caused by insufficient availability. Most complex assembly systems are linked in an elastic way, which means that short disturbances can be compensated by buffers. This sort of interlinkage of different systems is characterized as a highly dynamic process in which it is difficult to attribute the loss of availability to any particular production station. In order to get the best out of the investment, new approaches to analyzing availability need to be found. The paper gives an overview about existing procedures of optimization in the planning and operation period and presents a new optimization approach with operation curves.
