The effect of nanocrystallization on the oxide formation on Ni-8Cr-3.5Al alloy

摘要
The oxide formation on a sputtered Ni-8Cr-3.5Al nanocrystalline coating on the substrates of the same alloy was discussed. The formation of Ni-Cr-Al nanocrystalline alloys' oxides was achieved with medium Cr and Al contents. The sputtered coatings were examined by atomic force microscopy (AFM) followed by oxidation tests. An external layer of Cr2O3 with an internal oxide of aluminum was formed on the cast alloy. The formation of continuous layers resulted in an expansion of Al2O3 forming area consisting of different microstructures.
