摘要
This paper presents ultra-wideband polarization conversion metasurface(MS) in microwave regime. Metasurfaces with two different types of unit cells have been designed and simulated. Metasurface MS1 consisting of two-dimensional Rectangular split-ring-resonators(SRRs) and MS2 consisting of two-dimensional circular SRRs. Both the metasurfaces are etched on top of a FR4 dielectric substrate having ground with a metallic covering. The proposed metasurfaces have wide polarization conversion bandwidth due to multiple plasmon resonances. MS1 converts an linearly polarized wave into its corresponding orthogonal polarization while MS2 converts both linear and circular polarization waves into their corresponding orthogonal polarizations. It is also observed that MS2 is more compact and achieves wide bandwidth than MS1. The proposed metasurface would be promising in applications for polarization control devices.
