Exploration on Teaching Reform of a Mathematical Modeling Course

With the development of computer technology, the mathematical application has started to play an increasingly important role in the research fields of engineering technology and natural science. Mathematical modeling is a subject that uses mathematical methods to solve practical problems. The teaching reform of a mathematical modeling course was studied to study the teaching of mathematical modeling in higher education. Through research on the mathematical modeling course, the shortcomings of the current mathematical modeling course were analyzed, a series of methods and measures for the reform of mathematical modeling courses was listed, and new directions for the teaching reform of mathematical modeling were pointed out. The characteristics of the mathematical modeling course and its practical significance and application in people's lives were analyzed. The present situation of the course in the world and some activities related to modeling were also analyzed. Finally, through the investigation of some teachers and students with modeling teaching practice experience, the changes of the teaching method for the logarithm model were pointed out. For example, the teaching organization mechanism was established, the mathematical modeling method and special multi-style assessment methods were set up, and the modeling contest training mode was carried out.??
