摘要：
The main characteristics and ecological features of gray forest soils under pine and birch stands in the forest-steppe zone are studied. Modern bioclimatic conditions of forest-steppe are favorable for the process of sod formation. Differences in the hydrothermal conditions of soil formation under pine and birch stands influence the biological activity of soils and the species composition of soil mesofauna and microbocenoses.
