摘要
The development of internet technologies has revolutionized our way of doing e-commerce. A growing number of e-governments come along with the innovation to join the value chain suppliers and consumers in e-commerce to improve services. These e-governments add value by providing better services to citizens, streamlining the supply chains and matching an environment of trust for transacting parties. This paper examines current researches concerned with e-government in order to see the opportunities, challenges and some directions for future research. This paper first proposes architecture for a secure e-government platform based on web services and the technologies, which addresses the requirements of interoperability, security and user friendliness. Secondly, this paper finds that in China, the drivers to the usage of on-line exchanges, supply chain management, centralized procurement and paperless trade are the state enterprise sector. Finally, this paper examines the on-going challenges for e-government consisting of coordination of governmental internal operations.
