In course of evaluation of the rock failure characterization, we have concentrated our attention on the research of acoustic emission created during the uniaxial loading of rock samples. For this measurements, in the Institute of Geonics was developed a kit-type measuring system equipped with the data recording in the personal computer. The one enables the measurement of forces, deformations and chosen parameters of acoustic emission impulses in the frequency range of 5 kHz up to 300 kHz. The registration parameters could be set manually or digitally from the PC, in which the data are storaged. The data storage in the PC enables also the utilization of numerical methods of their processing as well as more exact interpretation of final results. In the paper, the issues of the acoustic signals registration precision are discussed.
