摘要
H in control (of the electrons): The bond strength of CO on small cationic cobalt clusters, as indicated by the C-O stretching band in the IR spectrum, can be precisely controlled by coadsorption of H2 molecules. Each coadsorbed H atom reduces the electron density available for back-donation by about 0.09-0.25 electrons, depending on cluster size. (Graph Presented). © 2007 Wiley-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA.
