摘要
The purpose of this paper is to utilize Dewey's Experiential Learning Theory to emphasize the value of experiential learning in the planning, organizing, leading, and implementing a road race. More specifically, the paper focuses on the teaching methodology of Dewey's Experiential Learning Theory and the integration of the four aspects of education including the social environment, knowledge and content of organization, the teacher's role, learner readiness, and the experience and learning outcomes into a sport event management class. There are multiple benefits to utilizing Dewey 's Experiential Learning Theory in the classroom that can be expanded to other areas within sport management pedagogy as well as related fields. The integration of Dewey's Experiential Learning Theory was successfully implemented, according to the learning across the four aspects of education as a pedagogy for implementing a road race with students enrolled in a sport event management course.
