摘要
This paper presents the design of a modified Vienna rectifier for single phase power factor correction (PFC) under RL load. This research proposes a newly developed scheme consist of a modified Vienna rectifier for converting AC to DC, a simple control circuit for controlling single phase modified Vienna rectifier switching, a single phase inverter (H-bridge) for converting power from DC to AC, a step down transformer and a T-LCL filter circuit. This article presents a simple control system for single phase modified Vienna rectifier which is supposed to control the DC output voltage and almost pure sinusoidal single phase input current to gain almost unity power factor. For switching pulse of the H-bridge inverter, a combination of square wave signal and SPWM (sinusoidal Pulse Width Modulation) under grid synchronization is employed. The simulation of proposed system has been done using PSIM simulation software. The propose topology provides almost ripple free input current, lower input current THD which is found to be about 5.6% and improved power factor up to 0.992.
