The effect of the CO32- anion on the corrosion of carbon steel in an ammonium chloride solution

摘要
The influence of CO32- union on the corrosion of carbon steel ill NH4Cl Solution has been studied using several technique such as weight loss, Tafel polarisation and liniar polarisation. Measurements of values of polarisation resistence (R-p) have also been carried out. The anion has an inhibiting effect by decreasing the expansion rate of generalised corrosion of carbon steel in a solution of NH4Cl 0,1 M.
