摘要
The purpose of this study is to analyze and improve the solution of the facility layout problem following earlier approaches by Karray et al. We briefly describe the facility layout problem, including a short literature review, compare different solution methods and finally introduce a new solution approach combining fuzzy logic with a genetic algorithm (GA). In the end we compare results from both implementations and give some conclusions.
