摘要
In this paper torus bifurcation (TB) and chaos caused by TB in a simple three-node power system is comprehensively studied. TB is one type of complicated dynamic bifurcation caused by a pair of complex conjugated Floquet multipliers coming out of the unit circle on the Poincare section. In previous studies on power system stability, chaos with torus characteristics (CTC) and TB have been given very little consideration. Our studies indicates that phenomena of CTC have some unique interesting characteristics such as all the trajectories oscillating on a closed cyclic surface, deep bifurcation and self-organizing, co-existence of divergent and chaotic subspace, etc. All studies in this paper are helpful to the understanding of chaotic and instability phenomena in power systems.
