Role of 11C-Methionine PET/CT in 99mTc-Sestamibi-Negative Parathyroid Adenoma: A Case Report

摘要：
We report a case of 16-year-old female primary hyperparathyroidism patient who underwent cervical ultrasonography and Tc-99m-sestamibi single photon emission computed tomography/computed tomography, both of which were negative for parathyroid adenoma. Subsequent C-11-methionine positron emission tomography/CT showed positive focal uptake suggesting parathyroid adenoma, which then was confirmed pathologically.
